The regular season is in the books. Now is the ‘second season.’ Postseason play, where the slates are wiped clean and the stakes are even higher. As we enter the early stages of ‘March Madness,’ let us look at the regular season numbers. As noted, that portion of the schedule is recorded, but we might get some insight on what to expect from certain teams during March.

                                                Record                            EM

1. Robert Morris                           14-2                               14

2. Wagner                                   12-4                               11

3. St. Francis Brooklyn                  9-7                                  9

4. Bryant                                    10-6                                 5

5. Mount St. Mary’s                      9-7                                  4

6. FDU                                        6-10                                3

7. St. Francis(PA)                         7-9                                -7

8. Central Connecticut State         7-9                                -7

9. LIU Brooklyn                           4-12                              -13

10. Sacred Heart                         2-14                              -13

Best Offenses:
1. Robert Morris            111

2. Bryant                      109

3. St. Francis Brooklyn   107

4. Mount St. Mary’s       107

Best Defenses:
1. Wagner                91

2. Robert Morris       97

3. St. Francis(NY)     98

4. Mount St. Mary’s 103

5. Bryant               104

Fastest pace: Mount St. Mary’s and Central Connecticut State at a decidedly uptempo 73 possessions.

Most deliberate: Robert Morris. Andy Toole’s club can grind it out against the opposition.

Bryant’s numbers are fueled by a conference leading 54% eFG percentage. Overall only three teams scored, or posted, under a 100 efficiency: LIU Brooklyn 99, Central Connecticut State 98 and Sacred Heart 96. To little surprise, they were all in the conference’s second division.

Robert Morris is not only conservative on pace and possessions. The Colonials are also the conference's best at valuing the ball, with a 15.8% TO rate, well under the targeted 20% cutoff.
